At the moment of ACR disgust, I launch my chips in a defeated move against cruisinman (my A3vsAJ) on a board of A22, 4, ? only to spike the suck out on the river (3), to acquire 2nd place chips on the final table of the VGN Subscriber Freeroll that quickly led to a heads-up match with river??. Not to say that my opponent wasn’t worthy, obviously he/she is quite the table adversary, but my constant attention to my heads-up game proved victorious in a relatively short 1 vs 1 final table matchup. The 11/2/17 victory is a morale win in retrospect because of my lack of self control in the earlier hand versus cruisinman. I knew that I was beat, but stuck my chips in anyway. That my friends is the first class move of a railbird. I may have had outs, but I should consider my knowledge of the game and instinct of the moment more important and reliable for my tournament life than 6 or so outs. Enough said.
